My Story
After retiring from a 20+ year career as a nonprofit management executive leading organizational change and business intelligence, I realized I wasn’t ready to step away—I was ready to step forward. My journey has brought me to a new purpose: helping mission-driven organizations harness the same operational strategies that drive success in the for-profit world.
Nonprofits are often expected to deliver outsized impact with limited resources, while being measured by surface-level metrics. But relevance and sustainability require more. Business strategies like data analytics, operational excellence, and strategic clarity aren’t luxuries—they’re necessities.
That belief led to the founding of Secerns. We exist to help nonprofits move from data collection to data discernment—from proving need to refining value. Our consulting practice is built on deep experience and a clear understanding of the unique challenges nonprofits face.
